The Senior Area Director, Account Management, EMEA will be responsible for managing a subset of the EMEA Acount Management team within the assigned area, ensuring client excellence, achieving strategic objectives (sales growth and annuity retention) and supporting the commercial relationships. The Senior Area Director role involves directly overseeing the assigned sub-team, enabling the team to meet strategic objectives, quota attainment, performance management and team development. The Senior Area Director, Account Management, EMEA will report to the Area Vice President, IDeaS Accounts Management EMEA and APAC, who retains overarching regional oversight. This position will be based in our Marlow, UK office. Whilst we do offer the flexibility for hybrid working once  the expectation will be to come to the office x2 a week at a minimum.

What you’ll be doing...

  • Lead and manage a designated portion of the EMEA Account Management team that builds, and nurtures established relationships for existing IDeaS accounts, focusing on performance optimization and goal attainment.
  • Determine equitable territory assignments for the designated team; set and review performance goals and establishes priorities for all reporting staff.
  • Collaborate closely with the Area VP to align local strategies with regional and global objectives.
  • Serve as an advisor and resource to team members and management fostering a high-performance culture through effective coaching, mentoring and development of team members in all aspects of customer relationship management skills and techniques, territory management, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborates with Sales Business Units and Marketing to ensure a client first mindset by making suggestions for process enhancements and educating their team.
  • Participate with account managers and support staff in customer calls and presentations, goal identification, evaluation of account needs, and design of appropriate strategies.
  • Monitor new staff during their initial training program period and evaluate their skills throughout the program based on training objectives; identifies internal training needs and makes recommendations where appropriate.
  • Keep abreast of customer relationship management methodologies and practices.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports to management.
  • Educate on IDeaS go-to-market strategies and resources to execute local tactics to create and win opportunities for IDeaS products and solutions.
  • Professionally represent IDeaS in the marketplace.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring to us…

  • 15+ years of progressive experience within account management, Enterprise level sales professional specifically within consultative sales involving enterprise software.
  • 5+ years of senior leadership role.
  • Proven management skills in account management and sales organization.
  • Demonstrated understanding of strategic retention and sales techniques and principal’s, specifically in the SaaS software industry, focussed on complex enterprise software, ideally from hospitality technology, Revenue Analytics Software/Analytics software industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively allocate resources to meet annuity and sales objectives.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Software Sales and acquisition cycles and buying influences, bonus of having experience of hotel technology sales.
  • Demonstrated Negotiation skills.
  • Strong oral communication skills; demonstrated project leadership skills.
  • Ability to work and learn independently; demonstrated ability to interact productively with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Hotel / Hospitality technology Industry experience desirable
  • Experience in a SaaS or software company
